In Production: The Beginning of Bop

The Beginning of Bop

Matthew Tannenbaum dropped by the studio last fall to record some audio of his favorite authors just to see if he was as good as everyone said. There is nothing like the interpretative rendition of a well read and facile mind and the verdict was yes. His reading of Jack Kerouac was certainly on par with the other Matt (i.e. Caedmon Audio's excellent publication of On The Road) as well as JK himself. A brilliant session of The Beginning of Bop and Dr. Sax ensued and awaits the copyright okay.

All who know Matt (the proprietor of The Bookstore in Lenox) know that he is a unique Berkshire voice, mind and talent-hosting literary discussion panels, performing under the direction of Kevin Coleman of Shakespeare & Company as well as Club Helsinki where he brought literary Dylan into the fore just recently last spring.

Though JK is Matt's forte other projects are being discussed while waiting for the green light. Mathew may be part of his own inventory yet. You can't beat that.
